The right place often seems like the wrong place

God is in the business of strategically positioning us in the right place at the right time. A sense of destiny is our birthright as followers of Christ. God is awfully good at getting us where He wants us to go. But here's the catch: The right place often seems like the wrong place, and the right time often seems like the wrong time.
If we will depend on God for EVERYTHING, not just in theory but in reality, then we would be more settled about the place and time that God so chooses. When we look at God for who He really is, rather than reducing God down to the size of our biggest problem. Rather than seeing God and His power from our own human limitations, we should see that His ways are MUCH HIGHER than our ways. When we take for granted that our heart is going to beat one more time or our lungs are going to draw in oxygen, then we fall in danger of losing sight of our dependency on Christ. God operates in a whole different dimension than we do, and he wants us to trust Him in everything, especially in the relatively small things that we already expect will happen, in order that we can trust Him in the big things of life. If you will be in a continual attitude of prayer (dependency), then you will have established a strength in your dependency on God where nothing will shake your world.

  1. I work with a college student named Faviola, who's searching for happiness in all the wrong places. We've all been there, where she's at right now. She's away from family, and right now her co-workers and classmates are her family. As I read this at work on Thursday, her interest peaked so I shared a little. And she said that's her. She shared she cried alot on Wednesday, so stressed out about school and life. I explained to her that she doesn't have to do life alone. That with continual attitude of prayer, depending on God. He will give her the strength she needs. She really needed to hear that yesterday. Please pray for Favi that she will learn to lean on Jesus.
